Dr. Mohammad Bhuiyan is a globally respected economist, entrepreneur, academic leader, and former U.S. Congressional candidate. With over 30 years of executive-level experience in academia, business, and nonprofit sectors, he has held numerous leadership roles, including CEO.

Dr. Bhuiyan earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) and a Ph.D. in Economics and Trade from the University of Florida. He has also completed advanced leadership programs at Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Business School, Stanford, and MIT.

An international figure, Dr. Bhuiyan has lived, worked, and traveled across more than 70 countries. He and his wife own a laser technology company with over 100 patents, serving high-profile clients like Boeing, Airbus, Honda, and branches of the U.S. military. Their company is the only one offering proprietary “Laser Shot Peening” and “Laser Bond Inspection” technologies.

Since 2000, Dr. Bhuiyan has led a national program supporting entrepreneurship and innovation at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and minority-serving institutions. His efforts have brought together university leaders, Fortune 500 CEOs, military officers, and global changemakers to empower underserved communities. He also played a key role in establishing the nation’s only “Laser Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Training Institute.”

Dr. Bhuiyan’s contributions have earned him numerous honors, including being named one of the 100 Most Influential Atlantans by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and a Notable Georgian by Georgia Trend Magazine. He is also listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
