Roy Varghese is Microsoft’s Director of Azure Infrastructure for HPC and AI for Public Sector in the Americas. He is passionate about working with government and industry to enhance science, efficiency, and citizen services using Azure. Previously, he led case management modernization at the US Federal judiciary and served as CIO for NOAA Fisheries.

Before his tenure with the federal government, Roy held roles such as project manager, program manager, and director in various organizations serving federal, state, and local governments, as well as sectors including banking, healthcare, retail, and telecommunications. Roy possesses a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a master’s degree in business administration from Johns Hopkins University. He resides in Howard County, Maryland with his wife and two children, and has interests in food, travel, and sports.
