Srikant Sastry is a dynamic and resilient leader. As CEO of STRATrockers LLC, he focuses on leadership and strategy at the intersection of business and the Arts. He is also Executive in Residence at Indiana University’s O’Neill School of Public & Environmental Affairs, lending his experience to help students and faculty lead for the greater good.  

Career Summary  

Srikant has led rapid growth of Advisory Services at two major accounting firms through strategic and operational leadership. Most recently, he served as National Managing Partner, Advisory Services for Cherry Bekaert LLC where he led rapid growth of a digitally driven, industry-aligned advisory practice targeted to commercial lower mid-market and public sector entities, growing the practice 5X in revenues through both strong organic growth and inorganic growth fueled by private equity investment. 

 Previously, he served as Grant Thornton’s National Managing Principal of Advisory Services, where he developed and executed a highly successful growth strategy for the US Advisory business across Russell 2000 and public sector entities. By focusing on creating, protecting, and transforming value for clients, he doubled revenues in five years. Prior to that, he led Grant Thornton’s Global Public Sector for three years, raising its market stature and doubling revenues by aligning management consulting with technology strategy and package implementation for federal and state and local clients.  

Srikant has also served as an associate partner at IBM Business Consulting Services and principal consultant at PwC. He started his career in federal government, working at the U.S. EPA, Office of Management and Budget, and Internal Revenue Service. 

Board and Community Service Roles  

Srikant serves on the Foundation Board of Directors for the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. He also serves as Board Chairman for the Consortium of Advanced Management-International (CAM-I). He actively supports Indiana University’s O’Neill School where he serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council and served on the Distinguished Alumni Council (Chair 2016-18). From 2015-17, Srikant served as Board Chairman of the Partnership Fund at nationally top-ranked Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology, raising $4 million for the Campaign for TJ.  

Awards and Recognition 

In 2015, the Washington Business Journal recognized Srikant as a Minority Business Leader of the Year. In 2016, the Alexandria, VA Chamber of Commerce named Srikant as Business Leader of the Year. In 2017, Consulting Magazine named Srikant a Top 25 Consultant for Leadership Excellence. In 2019, IU named Srikant the 2019 O’Neill Distinguished Alumni Award winner. And in 2021, the Association of Government Accountants presented Srikant with the Andy Barr Award for Leadership and Outstanding Contributions to the Federal Sector.  

Education  

Srikant received a B.A. in political science from University of Massachusetts Amherst, magna cum laude, MPA from the Indiana University O’Neill School, and J.D. from the George Washington University Law School. He also completed the Leadership Program at the University of Oxford and the Leading Professional Services Program at Harvard University.
