Join us on Thursday, May 28, 2026, between 5:30 and 7:30 PM for an exclusive TILLIT LAW PLLC and IAICC micro-networking event focused on NDAA FY26: Acquisition Policy and Reform Highlights, where federal contracts attorneys and defense executives will discuss key recent changes to the defense acquisition landscape. During the event, we will examine the shift towards speed, flexibility, production capacity, and commercial innovation in the defense sector. The roundtable will cover important topics in defense acquisition reform, including the updated definition of the term “best value,” which signals the current Administration’s policy position to focus on comprehensive solutions rather than prioritizing cost alone. Participants will discuss strategies for successfully navigating the portfolio-based acquisition system headed by the newly established Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) position.

An overview will be provided of updates related to certain acquisition thresholds, including the new statutory monetary threshold for submitting certified cost or pricing data (COPD) and the federal Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) coverage. We will also address the implications of the provision that permits defense agencies to withhold and forfeit up to 5% of certain contract payments from incumbent contractors that file bid protests dismissed by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) for lack of any reasonable legal or factual basis. A discussion will be held outlining efforts to promote contractor compliance with defense cybersecurity requirements. Participants will benefit from networking with fellow defense contracting executives and experts and from the opportunity to strategically align their firm’s posture with the newly redesignated “Warfighting Acquisition System.”
