about the event

Following the successful 2023 convention marking the 30th Anniversary of the Indian American International Chamber of Commerce, the IAICC 2025 Convention is set to take place at a crucial juncture in the US political landscape. The change in presidential administration, coupled with an uncertain economic outlook, presents new opportunities and challenges for the evolving relationship between the US and India, as well as the broader business community. While the US-India relationship continues to strengthen due to evolving geopolitical realities, it is crucial to assess the economic implications of the new administration’s priorities.

The business communities in both the US and India face uncertainties stemming from the broad economic landscape and potential policy changes under the new administration. These changes may impact various sectors, including AI, Science & Technology, Security & Defense, Energy, Infrastructure, Environmental Sciences, Health & Pharmaceuticals, Nuclear and Space Technology, Agriculture, and Education.

The two-day event in Washington, DC, will offer an invaluable opportunity to assess and understand the impacts of the policy changes by the new administration that impact the growing synergy between the US and India, while also impacting collaborations with the rest of the world. It will also focus on strategies and approaches the business community can adopt to navigate policy changes and economic uncertainties. Thus, the convention’s primary aim is to analyze the opportunities and challenges that will emerge by the time the new administration finishes three months in office and propose strategies that will allow businesses to succeed in a very dynamic and challenging landscape consisting of political and economic changes.

High-level dignitaries from the United States Government are expected to attend, including key leaders from various US public sector (Federal, State, and Local) agencies, representatives of SBA, MBDA, OSDBU, and experts in Acquisition & Mentor Protégé programs. Additionally, key government representatives, thought leaders, and industry executives from India and other countries will be present to share their insights and expertise.

The United States and India are uniquely positioned to drive transformative global collaborations and forge strategic economic partnerships in an era of rapid change and evolving global dynamics. Together, they are poised to play a key role in advancing progress on critical global issues, from economic resilience to sustainable development, helping to shape a more interconnected and prosperous world.

Additionally, senior officials from the White House, Indian Embassy, US Department of State, Defense, Commerce, Energy, Transportation, and the SBA will contribute to discussions on policies and initiatives to facilitate deeper collaborations between various regions of the world and drive innovation.

Through this dynamic exchange of ideas, the session will highlight the opportunities for creating meaningful partnerships that can benefit not only the US and India but the broader international community as well.

This session will offer insightful presentations on how businesses can thrive in the rapidly evolving US economic and political landscape, navigating both public and private sectors. A broad range of key topics will be addressed, including the challenges businesses face due to changes in government policies, technology evolution, and economic uncertainties. Session topics will focus on areas such as access to opportunities, strategic guidance, and effective approaches to achieving sustainable success in a challenging environment.

These interactive discussions will offer insights on adapting to change, leveraging emerging trends, and achieving long-term growth in a competitive environment.

This session will highlight promising business opportunities for U.S. companies looking to expand into India and Indian businesses seeking to engage in the U.S. market. Attendees will gain valuable insights into critical considerations such as tax policies, legal frameworks, and regulatory challenges that impact cross-border trade.

Industry leaders will share expertise and practical insights, providing actionable strategies for navigating the complexities of international trade. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a seasoned executive, or a professional advisor, this session will provide the tools and knowledge to unlock cross-border potential.

This session will explore the expanding influence of women in business and policymaking as they take on impactful leadership roles. A dynamic panel discussion featuring accomplished women leaders from various fields will delve into diverse topics that showcase how women leaders are creating positive impact in business, public service, and policymaking domains.

Attendees will gain insights into how women leaders are navigating challenges and opportunities, strategies for fostering inclusion, and the transformative impact of gender diversity in decision-making processes. This session aims to inspire and empower participants to support the critical contributions of women in shaping the future of business and policy.

This exclusive event for small businesses will provide valuable opportunities to meet with representatives from various U.S. government agencies, including the SBA, U.S. Departments of Commerce, Transportation, Agriculture, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security.
